So, there are clearly a million toys for infants and toddlers out in the market place. Why are Tolo brand toys the favorite of a lot of us working here at ABC & Toy Zone?
First of all, the toys come in brightly colored plastic that is sturdy and BPA and Phthalates free. This isn't a cheap or questionable building material...Definitely a plus!
Tolo toys can be anything from stacking cups for your 6-month-old to fun vehicles for your 5-year-old. My son especially loved the clicking and ratcheting noises that each of these toys make; I loved that I knew they were not only safe for him to enjoy but were encouraging his growth and development (Oh...and that they didn't require batteries!). Each Tolo box includes a guide as to which skills are being encouraged with its toy's usage.
The Tolo First Friends Train is finally back, too. While this toy does need 3 AAA batteries to work, it's well worth it: You get 10 pieces of track to make a fun rail system for your Tolo train to carry all the villagers around. The large pieces and simple operation make this perfect even for the 12-month old, yet the durability and use with other Tolo toys make it fun for the five-year-old (or five-and-a-half-year-old, as my son would point out).
